Richard
Richard is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians. He has wide experience of working in high profile environments, within areas including Management Accounting, Financial Accounting System Development and Strategic Financial Risk Management, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance.
His multi-disciplined exposure encompasses numerous sectors, including Accountancy Practices, Diversified Public Limited Companies, The Post Office, Central Government and Government Agencies, The NHS, Asset Finance, The Motor Industry, Banking, Insurance, SME Industries and US listed IT Security companies. Among his career highlights, Richard includes:
- Whilst at Barclaycard, reviewing the GL Product Environment and improving processes, roll out and training and handling the subsequent implementation of QA framework and reporting.
- As Turnaround Consultant at The NHS, using business analysis and accounting techniques to identify savings whilst reporting to the Director of Turnaround.
- Developing fraud and whistle-blowing policy, alongside risk appraisal relating to fraud and forensic accounting whilst working with Eon.
- At Barclays Wealth, working as Business Risk Analyst handling property management and investment accounting and acting as Quality Assurance Consultant to the Sarbanes Oxley team.
- Whilst working with RBS Lombard, designing the Effectiveness Review, consulting with external audit and designed/tested business controls.
- Provided personal business valuation to a majority shareholder in an Multi Million SME whose minority shareholders undervalued the business to leverage a cheap under sale. The work performed saved the Chairman's personal fortunes.
- Implemented Sarbanes Oxley from start up in a number of companies and also recovered impaired SOX projects in blue chip companies.
